Il Monthly Operational Summary (MOS) fornisce una breve descrizione degli obiettivi principali di ciascun progetto che la Banca Mondiale considera finanziare ed è una fonte utile per monitorare il progresso di un progetto attraverso le sue diverse fasi. 

I progetti sono elencati mensilmente nel MOS a partire dalla fase dell’identificazione fino a che il prestito non sia approvato dal Consiglio di Amministrazione e firmato il documento legale tra la Banca Mondiale e il paese cliente.
